A new believer - where to
go from here...
Living as a Christian in a sinful world is filled
with difficulties. It's essential that you seek out other sincere,
Bible-believing Christians that you can have fellowship with, to strengthen
yourself in your new walk with Christ.
Remember, as "newborn", you need proper spiritual food. The importance
of reading your Bible (I'd suggest starting in the New Testament Gospel
of John) and talking with God (praying) daily cannot be stressed enough.
As a Christian, we are called to pursue holiness - a transformation that
comes about from within, as we follow our Lord and ask him to work in our
minds and hearts. The apostle Paul, in Romans
12:1-2 says,
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to
God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer
to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his
good, pleasing and perfect will."
Finally, if you have just accepted Jesus as your
Savior, I would like to personally welcome you into God's family.
Feel free to email me - I'd
like to pray for you and keep in touch with you in your new walk with our
Lord.
